A 22-year-old passenger lost their life on Loop 1604 in San Antonio after a driver suspected of driving while intoxicated struck a pillar. San Antonio police arrived at the North Side collision and found the driver impaired when officers arrived.
In a separate incident, an employee at a BBQ restaurant was attacked with a knife in the arm and chest in what police described as a random attack near the front of the restaurant. The employee is expected to recover after the assault.
