Eleven Edge Early Learning centres will shut their doors after administrators could not find buyers for the sites. Seven of the centres facing closure are in Queensland. The closures follow the fall of the operator, which has left families scrambling to secure alternative care arrangements.

Administrators were able to offload some centres in a fire sale, but the remaining 11 attracted no interest. Parents have been given very limited time to secure new placements for their children as the shutdown moves ahead.
