Anthony Mackie will bring his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, marking a return to theatre after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run set to run until July 2027.
The production began its run in the West End before the Broadway transfer was confirmed by entertainment outlets. The move is a notable step for a performer better known recently for his screen work.
After his Broadway run concludes, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, slotting the Marvel project in after his stage work wraps.
