Daniel Tupou has retired from the NRL just days after the Sydney Roosters claimed the grand final. The winger walks away as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never played for another NRL club.
The Roosters said they were "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, leaving him regarded as one of the most loyal one-club players in the competition's recent memory.
